How to check the firmware version
 

Before ordering your unlocking credentials make sure your phone has compatible firmware for unlocking. Some older Firmware versions are not compatible. You can check your firmware version by going to the SETTINGS, then ABOUT menu. Minimum version must be 4.0.X.XXX. (see pictures below)

 

   

 

If your software version is below 4.0.X.XXX please visit your service providers website to download and upgrade your desktop and device software.

 

How to enter BlackBerry unlock codes

 

1 - Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card press select.

2 - While holding the SHIFT key, type MEPD or MEPPD for BlackBerry 7100.

3 - You should now see the five locking categories listed (picture below).

 

 

4 - While holding the SHIFT KEY, type MEP2 or MEPP2 for BlackBerry 7100.

5 - Release the shift key.

6 - You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)

7 - Enter the code

8 - Enter Return/Enter

9 - The device will then be unlocked
